Walking Baits

Walking baits are designed to mimic the frantic action of an injured baitfish struggling on the water surface. They are most commonly used for bass fishing, but can be effective for other species as well. Walking baits are typically long and slender, and sometimes feature cupped lip that disrupts the water as you retrieve them with a side-to-side "walking" action. This erratic movement and commotion attracts fish, particularly aggressive predators that see an easy meal.
